No Brasil, alunos foram motivados a produzirem seus podcasts de temas que seguissem os critérios por eles estabelecidos como relevantes - dentre os temas sugeridos destacaram-se intercâmbios, cultura e diversidade cultural, transporte e energia, qualidade de vida, mudanças no estilo de vida e liderança, entre muitos outros.
Nos Estado Unidos, os alunos foram instruídos a ouvirem a uma série de podcasts sobre assuntos diversos, fazer anotações, decidir que assunto eles gostariam de discutir, pesquisar mais sobre o assunto, criar um roteiro (Google Docs), e se preparar para produzir e gravar os próprios podcasts. Os assuntos variaram de temas relacionados a autoajuda, gratidão, e "The Law of Attraction", até assuntos inesperados como vampirismo e poder nuclear.
